Sonny has been involved in teaching, facilitating and leading Māori language and cultural implementation strategies for close to 20 years.

His greatest satisfaction is to help people discover their full identity as kiwi living in Aotearoa New Zealand in relation to it’s first peoples, Tangata Whenua Māori. Sonny has worked with government & non-government organisations as well as voluntary & Not for profits and large private corporates guiding the safe and expert implementation of Te Ao Māori knowledge frameworks and tikanga practices. Sonny’s greatest strength is his ability to create safe spaces, helping people to feel herd, valued and encouraged to be the best version of their Māori self - even if they aren't Māori!
